The A-Frame sits at the top corner of 20 acres nestled at the base of Blueball Mountain. I would often take evening walks up the road towards what is now the A-Frame and think what an amazing location it would be to build a little cabin to share with others. I loved the mountain views and peaceful surroundings.
In the fall of 2020 the land unexpectedly went up for sale. I shared my dream of building a mountain retreat with my husband and he agreed to support my endeavor. Even though we scrambled to make an offer the same day the property was listed, we were outbid.
The next year in the fall of 2021 the property went up for sale again! We rushed to make an offer and for a 2nd time we lost the bid. In the spring of 2022 my husband met the owners of the property and mentioned that we would love the opportunity to purchase the land if they ever decided to sell. That summer they called and said they felt like this place was supposed to be ours and did we still want to buy it? I was SO excited and grateful!! We purchased the property in August of 2022 and started construction in October 2022. We wrapped up the build in October 2023, just in time to be featured in the Helena Parade of Homes. I fell in love with A-Frames many years ago, and knew my little cabin just had to be a triangle in the mountains. :) I wanted to design a cabin retreat that felt modern and luxe while providing that Montana mountain experience.
